Georgia Tech/Emory

Established collaborative Centers between Emory and Georgia Tech include: the Wallace H. Coulter Dept of Biomedical Engineering; Dept of Biomedical Informatics (with Georgia Research Alliance); Collaborative for Regenerative Medicine; Robotics; Predictive Health Institute; Emory Center for Engineering of Living Tissues (GTEC); Georgia Tech / Emory Health Systems Institute

A collaborative partnership between Emory/Georgia Tech will sustain inquiry, education, discovery, dissemination, evaluation, and service.  The strengths of each institution will bring these strengths to bear on the vexing problem of providing quality, coordinated, and appropriate medical care to an aging population in a manner that will facilitate their independence, health, safety, and quality of life.

This next generation of older adults will be more educated, more racially and ethnically diverse, and have a longer life expectancy and more widely dispersed families than previous generations.

Partnership in solving tomorrow’s problems with regards to our aging population is consistent with the core purpose of Emory University, which is to create, preserve, teach, and apply knowledge in the service of humanity.  Our partner in this endeavor, the Georgia Institute of Technology, is committed to creating an environment of innovation that seeks to make human life better.
